RFID Conference Badges and Wristbands for Multi-Day Events
The short answer
RFID conference badges are printed passes with a chip that your registration scanners read at doors and sessions. We print each badge with the holder's name and pass type, color-code by day or area, and match the chip to your scanners: HF 13.56 MHz, or UHF for hands-free lanes. Wristbands suit events where badges get swapped.
What we need from you
- Event dates, and how many days and sessions you scan
- Number of attendees, split by pass type or day
- Your registration platform or scanners, and the chip they read
- Badge, wristband or both, plus your artwork and the name data to print
- Typical order
- Minimums vary by product, and we confirm yours in the quote.
- Lead time
- Most orders take 4 to 8 weeks from artwork approval. Your quote gives you a firm date.
RFID badges, passes and wristbands for conferences and trade shows, color-coded by day or pass type and matched to your scanners.
At a conference or trade show, the badge is the ticket, the name tag and the access pass in one. A chip lets doors and session scanners check it in a fraction of a second, and tells you who came to what.
We supply full-color PVC badges printed with names and pass types, RFID tickets, and fabric or single-use wristbands for multi-day events, all with the chip your registration scanners read and color-coded by day, area or pass type.
What we handle
Taken off your plate.
01
Matched to your scanners
We confirm the chip your registration platform reads before anything is printed.
02
Printed per pass
Names, roles and numbers printed on each badge, full color on both sides.
03
Color-coded
Different colors for each day, area or pass type, so staff can check at a glance.
04
Harder to copy
Holograms, UV ink or numbered serials on badges, and tamper-evident closures on bands.
Badge or wristband?

Many events use both: a named badge for networking and a wristband for multi-day access. Our guide to which event wristband compares the band materials.
Matching your registration scanners
Your registration platform decides the chip. Our badges carry HF 13.56 MHz chips (NFC or MIFARE), or UHF for hands-free lanes, and RFID tickets carry HF 13.56 MHz or UHF chips. Ask your platform which chip and data format its scanners read.
Tell us what you use
Send your platform's specification, or a badge or band that scans today, and we read the chip directly.
We confirm the chip
We confirm the chip and format for your scanners, and send blank test samples where there is any doubt.
Proof and production
You approve a digital proof, including the name and number layout. Every chip is read-tested before packing.
Our guide to the RFID chip for event access control explains HF and UHF in more detail.
Color coding by day or pass
Color makes the pass type readable from across a hall. Badges can be color-coded by area or day, and single-use and Tyvek bands by day or zone, so door staff check at a glance and the chip does the rest.
- RFID Event Badges & VIP Passes: full color on both sides, with names, roles and numbers printed per pass and a slot for a lanyard, clip or badge reel.
- RFID Tickets & Passes: paper or PVC, numbered, pre-printed or printed at the desk.
- Polyester Festival Wristbands and Satin Textile Wristbands: fabric bands with a card tag and one-way slider.
- Single-Use Paper Wristbands: numbered or barcoded, color-coded by day or zone.
- Thermal-Printable RFID Wristbands: printed at the registration desk with each guest's name, pass type or date, and encoded at the same time.
Questions buyers ask
Badge or wristband?
A badge gives you the most print space, with the holder's name and pass type on a lanyard, and suits networking events. A wristband stays on once fitted, so it cannot be swapped between attendees, and suits multi-day passes. Many events use both. Our guide to which event wristband compares the band options.
Can you color-code by day or pass type?
Yes. Badges can be color-coded by area or day, with names, roles and numbers printed on each pass, and single-use bands can be color-coded by day or zone. Tell us how many days and pass types you run and we lay out a color scheme in your proof. See our guide to stopping wristband sharing for multi-day controls.
Will they work with our scanners?
We confirm that before we quote. Your registration platform decides the chip, usually HF 13.56 MHz, or UHF for hands-free lanes. Send its specification or a badge that scans today, and we read the chip and send blank test samples if there is any doubt. Our guide to the RFID chip for event access control explains the options.
