Locker Wristbands

RFID Locker Wristbands for Pools, Spas and Gyms

The short answer

A locker wristband carries a chip that your locker lock reads, so guests tap to lock and tap again to open. We match the chip frequency and type to your locker system, LF 125 kHz or HF 13.56 MHz, and send test bands to try first if there is any doubt.

What we need from you

  • The make and model of your locker system, or a band or card that works with it today
  • Rough quantities, and how many adult and child sizes you need
  • Your logo and colors, plus any color-coding by zone or guest type
  • When you need the bands on site
Typical order
Minimums vary by product, and we confirm yours in the quote.
Lead time
Most orders take 4 to 8 weeks from artwork approval. Your quote gives you a firm date.

RFID wristbands for pool and spa use, with the chip your lockers read, for pools, spas, gyms and waterparks.

Cards and water do not mix. At pools, spas, gyms and waterparks, guests need a locker key that stays on the wrist, opens with a tap and cannot be dropped in the pool.

We supply waterproof silicone wristbands, and fabric bands whose chip is sealed in the tag so they can be worn in the pool. Both carry the chip your lockers already read, printed with your logo and color-coded however you run the site.

How locker wristbands work

  1. The guest gets a band

Bands are handed out at the desk or gate, or worn for a whole stay or season by members and resort guests.

  2. Tap to lock

The guest closes a locker and holds the band to the reader on the lock. The locker records that band's chip and locks.

  3. Tap again to open

The locker opens again for that band. How lockers are released at the end of the day is set in your locker system.

The band never needs a battery. The chip is sealed inside, and the locker reader powers it for the moment it takes to read.

Matching your locker system

Every locker lock reads specific chips. Some read low-frequency 125 kHz chips, others read 13.56 MHz chips, so we confirm yours before we quote.

  1. Tell us what you have

Send the make and model of your locker system, or post us a band or card that works with it today and we read the chip directly.

  2. We confirm the chip

We confirm the chip and frequency for your lockers, and for any gates or tills you want the same band to work with.

  3. Try test bands

If there is any doubt, we send blank bands with the chip we propose so you can try them on your own lockers.

  4. Proof and production

You approve a digital proof of your artwork. Bands are printed, chipped and read-tested before packing.

Bands that suit locker use

  • Pool & Waterpark Wristbands: one-piece stretch silicone that rolls on over the hand, with no clasp to open in the water. Fully waterproof, chlorine and salt resistant, in diameters from child to adult XL.
  • Adjustable Silicone Wristbands: a watch-style clasp fits adults and children, so you stock one band. Sealed chip in LF 125 kHz, HF 13.56 MHz or UHF, or dual frequency.
  • Cloth RFID Wristbands with Loop Lock: a printed woven band with a card tag that carries the chip, sealed so the band can be worn in the pool and shower. Suits guests who wear the band for several days.

All three can be printed with your logo and made in your colors. For a full pool or waterpark setup, see pools, spas and waterparks.

Questions buyers ask

  • How do locker wristbands work?

The band carries a chip. The guest holds it to the locker's reader to lock the door, and the same band opens it again. The chip has no battery: the reader powers it for the moment it takes to read.

  • Which chip does my locker need?

It depends on the locker system. Some read low-frequency 125 kHz chips and others read 13.56 MHz chips. Tell us the make and model, or send a band that works today, and we confirm the chip before quoting.

  • Can the same band open a locker and pay?

Yes, if your till system supports it. We confirm a chip that works with your lockers and your point-of-sale provider, and dual-frequency bands are available where the two systems read different chips.
